Privacy Policy
We collect the minimum data needed to fulfill your order and nothing more.

What we collect
When you place an order we collect your email address and, for physical prints, the shipping address you provide.
We store the map design specification you create (location, shape, text, style choices) so we can render and re-download your file.
We do not collect or store payment card data. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. on their servers.
Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page visits) are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
How we use it
- To process and fulfill your order (render your map, deliver your download link, submit your print to our fulfillment partner).
- To send you a transactional email with your download link or order confirmation. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
- To look up your order if you contact us for support.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity.
Third-party services
Payment processing. Stripe handles all card data. We receive only a payment confirmation and a transaction ID.
Print-on-demand fulfillment for physical posters. Your name and shipping address are forwarded to Printful to produce and ship your order.
Transactional email delivery. Your email address is used only to send your order confirmation and download link.
Rendered map files are stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. Files are only accessible via time-limited signed URLs issued to you.
Map tile data. Your browser fetches map tiles while using the editor; MapTiler may log tile requests.
Hosting provider for this website. Vercel processes request logs in the normal course of serving pages.
Data retention
Order records (email, design spec, order status) are retained for 3 years to support refund requests, chargebacks, and re-downloads. Rendered image files are retained for 90 days after your order is fulfilled, after which they may be deleted from storage. If you need a re-download after that period, contact us and we will re-render your file at no charge.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or ask us to delete your data (subject to our legal obligations to retain order records).
To exercise any of these rights, email support@maporize.com with your order number and email address. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use only essential session cookies required for checkout (Stripe Payment Element). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices change. Material changes will be noted by updating the effective date above. Continued use of maporize after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
